AbstractFour parties participated in the 4th SST (SuperSonic Transport)-CFD (Computational Fluid Dynamics) Workshop. They analyzed aerodynamic characteristics of the NEXST-1 (National EXperimental Supersonic Transport-1) flight test according to their own CFD analysis plans. After the presentations by four parties, several viewpoints on the future studies were discussed at the workshop. This paper summarizes those discussion points, action items to be studied and JAXA's results on some of the action items after this workshop. As a conclusion, this workshop revealed present JAXA's CFD results were almost valid by comparing them with the flight test data, although some quantitative differences have still remained. Therefore, principal discussion points were focused on turbulence model, transition condition and effect of small parts in the comparison of drag polar curve between the flight test data and CFD results. As concerned with inviscid force characteristics, all CFD results showed a very good agreement.
