AbstractAn implicit multiblock Navier-Stokes solver, which contains the LU-SGS (Lower-Upper Symmetric Gauss-Seidel) subiteration method and the HLLEW (Harten-Lax-van Leer Einfeldt-Wada) scheme, has been developed for numerical simulations on complex and realistic aerodynamic configurations. One-level halo cells are used to communicate data between abutting blocks. The resulting method is applied to the NAL SuperSonic Transport (SST) model.
