AbstractTransonic flow fields over a delta wing and the shuttle model are investigated using PSP and TSP measurements (at the ISAS large-scaled wind tunnel). Since the models slightly move during wind-on, image registration is required for the acquisition of the accurate pressure distributions with the PSP in the large-scaled wind tunnel. An image registration method, which detects markers on the model surface automatically, used in the present study offers remarkable reduction of time for the image processing. As for the measurement for the delta wing, the automatic detection of markers is successfully performed and the pressure distributions obtained by PSP measurements agree well with the pressure tap data. The measurement for the shuttle model shows that difficulty still remains.
