AbstractThis paper studies attitude and vibration control of tethered Space Solar Power Satellite (SSPS), which is the concept of a manned lunar landing to establish the lunar base. The purpose is to launch SSPS on the moon circular orbit and to build a system for supplying electric power. The large flexible panel is excited on its vibration according to change of attitude. The input torque for changing attitude is analyzed by Optimal-Control Theory and secondly, excited vibration of the panel is analyzed and then, control algorithm is studied for the system. The method of control uses the tether tension of the Mission-Function Control algorithm.
