AbstractA lunar vehicle mobility testbed was developed, primarily for the purpose of evaluating slope mobility. This testbed is equipped with a sandbox containing simulated lunar soil, which is mechanically tilted to a forty-degree angle. It is also equipped with a soil smoother, comprising a plow and a leveler, to adjust and maintain the soil's bulk density and thus realize identical soil conditions for multiple experiments.
月面車の斜面登坂能力を評価する斜面走行試験装置を整備した。土壌に模擬レゴリスを使用し、機構上は40度まで傾斜が可能である。均し機を備えることで土壌かさ密度の垂直分布の調整と再現性の高い整地が可能となり、走行性能推定に必要な基礎データの取得が可能となった。
