AbstractJAXA has started operation of SORA-MA, which is a core system of JAXA Supercomputer System 2:JSS2. SORA-MA is FUJITSU Supercomputer PRIMEHPC FX100, which is many-core based scalable parallel cluster. Each compute node has one SPARC64TMXIfx chip which contains 32 computational cores and 2 assistant cores, and 32 GByte HMC memory. Many-core and SIMD architecture are key features of FX100 and their applications are important for user programs. This paper reports brief overview and preliminary performance evaluation of SORA-MA.
