It was recently extended to flows about an arbitrarily moving body by introducing rotational motion besides translational motion. Here, as numerical methods for flows including moving boundaries, first, a review is given about the conservative form in general coordinates with implication of geometric conservation laws and the ALE (Arbitrary Lagrangean-Eulerian) formulation, to show that the governing equations can be derived from the former to the latter systematically. Then, the moving coordinate method is derived dynamically in non-conservative form, and is transformed to the conservative form by partially using the ALE formulation. Finally, on the basis of the overview given above, the advantages and disadvantages of this method are discussed, and application examples of the moving coordinate method are referred to, confirming
