抄録The F-15 flight line personnel in Japan Air Self-Defense Force have been exposed to a remarkable noise and volatile organic solvents at an apron and a near holding area of runway. At the apron, the flight line personnel service the aircrafts such as pre- and post-flight check, while some F-15 fighter aircrafts are ground run-up. At the near holding area of runway, the flight line personnel check the aircrafts visually for the last check just before take-off. During the pre-flight checks, maintainers exposed levels to noise were 119.9 dB in maximum and 76.6 to 98.5 dB in 50%ile values, 121.9 dB and 82.6 dB to 104.6 dB during the post-flight checks, 120.2 dB and 97.4 dB to 111.5 dB during the last checks. We estimated the noise-exposed limit of the flight line personnel's, by calculation with TDE (Total Daily Exposure) value. The results suggest that wearing a NRR (Noise Reduction Ratings) 26 dB ear muff, she/he would be able to work four combat sorties of pre- and post-flight checks a day or three combat sorties of last and post-flight checks a day. And the personal exposed levels to the volatile organic compounds were within the permissible levels in this study, suggesting that combined effects of noise and volatile chemicals may be limited in the JASDF flight line area.
