| 内容記述 | The Lakshmi Planum and its surrounding area (together comprising a single structure) are described in morphological terms on the basis of Venera 15 and 16 photomap data. Plume ascent from the planetary interior and subsequent horizontal spreading represent the underlying mechanisms behind structural formation: folding and/or imbricating accompany these processes. In effect, the Laksmi structure can be regarded as a local spreading center. Its structural dimensions attest to the role that asthenospheric currents played in its formation. |
