抄録 | The objective of this study is energy conservation of low dew point rotary desiccant dehumidifier by effective use of low temperature waste heat. First, dehumidification performance of single-stage rotary desiccant dehumidifier which has been developed in previous report under condition of low regeneration temperature (60 and 80 deg C) has been examined. As experimental results, developed dehumidifier has been able to provide high dehumidification performance approximate to a conventional (140 deg C regeneration) single-stage rotary desiccant dehumidifier. As results of annual energy simulations, it has been estimated that utilization of recovered waste heat (recovered as 85 deg C hot water) for regeneration heat source of developed dehumidifier will reduce the annual energy costs of dehumidification over 40% in comparison with conventional dehumidifier. |
