内容記述 | The author has identified the following significant results. The project was conducted in Mississippi Sound in the north-central Gulf of Mexico. It utilized conventional surface data, obtained from fishing and other vessels, as well as aircraft and spacecraft remote data. A relationship was established between surface measured water transparency, temperature and salinity, and commercial fish-stock availability. Numerical models of the relationships were derived. A multiple regression was performed relating ERTS-1 MSS Band 5 image density to measured transparency and water depth. It is concluded that remotely acquired data can play a role in harvest decisions of commercial fisheries. |
