抄録 | In recent years, there has been an increase in the number of small rocket launch experiments carried out by Japanese universities: most of them are conducted as students' hands-on project. In these experiments, rockets are usually retrieved by parachute recovery system. In some cases, however, the opening shock load of the parachute happens to be extremely large, and results in the destruction of the primary structure of the rocket. For safety reason, mechanism of parachute dynamic behavior should be investigated in detailed manner. In the present study, we have studied transient dynamic characteristics of parachute opening process using both numerical and experimental analyses. As a numerical analysis, we have adopted particle system approximation method and compared the results with experimental data. For higher flow speed, they are in good agreement with each other. |
