内容記述Observations of H2CO toward comet Hale-Bopp demonstrate that this molecule has an extended distribution, which cannot be explained by direct sublimation from the nucleus or gas phase processes in the coma. A likely source of 142CO in comets may be coma grains composed of an organic-dominated silicate-organic matrix. These grains are released from the nucleus and are vaporized or thermally degraded by solar heating, ejecting organic molecules into the expanding coma. Hence, organic molecules with short photodissociation lifetimes (<10(exp 4) km) such as H2CO can be found much farther from the comet nucleus than their photodestruction rates would suggest. Distributed sources are also considered for other species such as CO, CN, and CS. We will present an overview of observations and experiments that can help decipher the origin of such species.
