抄録 | New experimental results obtained by Waseda-MSU collaboration are reported. The detector is 60 cm thick lead X-ray emulsion chamber exposed to cosmic rays at Pamirs. General characteristics of cosmic ray hadron interactions at high energies are discussed. It is shown that mountain X-rays chamber experiment can detect cosmic rays in the wide energy range 10(exp 15) - 10(exp 17) eV. Using experimental data, the features of hadron interactions and primary cosmic ray composition are shown in the energy region before and after the knee. |
