内容記述 | The cataclysmic variable S193 was observed with the Ginga and ROSAT satellites, along with ground-based optical observations. The bremsstrahlung temperatures and the column densities derived from these two observations are noticeably different. However, since the observations were separated by 3 yr and took place at different optical magnitudes, it is not clear whether this is related to an intrinsic change in the system or to a two component source of X-rays. While the X-ray data are not sufficient to accomplish a detailed analysis for periodicities, the Ginga data place an upper limit of 40% on the amplitude of any sinusoidal modulation. |
