H alpha solar telescope for the space weather forecast and its initial observation

Abstract

At Hiraiso Solar Terrestrial Research Center of CRL (Communications Research Laboratory), solar active phenomena are currently being studied through the use of optical observations, and methods of predicting them are being developed. These are the most important parts in the 'Space Weather Forecast Program'. This article is a brief overview of the instruments developed for observations and the research activity now in progress are briefly reviewed.

通信総合研究所(CRL)の平磯太陽地球研究センターでは、光学観測を使っての太陽の活動現象の研究を行っており、それら活動現象の予測技法を開発している。これらは宇宙天気予報プログラムにおいて最も重要な部分である。本文では、観測のための装置の開発について簡単に展望し、進行中の研究活動について簡単に概観した。
