| 内容記述 | A dynamical equation for the energy dissipation rate is used together with a model spectrum to predict the velocity derivative skewness at a high Reynolds number. The objective is to determine the best choice of the exponent, m, so that the resulting model spectrum can be used to estimate statistical properties of the fine scales of turbulence. Skewness data suggest that m = 2 is the best model for laboratory-scale flows and m = 1 is a poor model for a broad range of Reynolds numbers. |
