In method, detector stimulated by optical input signal, intensity modulated with square wave or other repetitive waveform of known frequency spectrum, and output of detector recorded. Electro-optical transfer function, which characterizes frequency response of detector, then computed as ratio between discrete Fourier transforms of output and input waveforms. |
