内容記述 | In a microgravity environment, a hollow cylinder of fluid is unstable to axisymmetric disturbances and breaks up to form hollow spheres. These instabilities are due to the surface tension of the fluid. The linear stability analysis presented in this paper shows that the viscosity of the fluid reduces the instability of the configuration, but that, regardless of its magnitude, it can never completely eliminate the instability. |
