| 内容記述 | The transition between the quiet and active conditions in the early afternoon high-latitude ionosphere is examined. Particular attention is given to the electric field and particle precipitation response to a slow monotonic decrease in the interplanetary magetic field Bz component. Observations from the Sondrestrom incoherent-scatter radar and the NOAA 7 satellite are analyzed. The electric field is found to intensify very quickly after the change in Bz. |
