パソコン用図形処理システムについて

Abstract

The main frame at Nagoya university computation center is replaced by a type of the UNIX server system in the end of 1999. Considering a shift to the UNIX server, The graphics subroutine library is to be transplanted to Windows personal computers. Graphics subroutine library for personal computer is a kind of a graphics subroutine library constructed on the basis of Fortran (Digital Visual Fortran) corresponding to Windows95/98. The graphics subroutine library follows an interface of the graphics library of the main frame, and contains some extensions. Graphic data are output in the PostScript style in this system. Free software of GSview corresponding to Japanese is used to make the output to screen displays and printers. Data in the previous style can be used as graphic metafiles in this system.

名古屋大学大型計算機センターの汎用機は、1999年末をもってUNIX系のサーバタイプのシステムに置き換わる。図形処理システムをUNIX系サーバへ移行することを視野に入れ、Windowsパソコンに移植することにした。パソコン用図形処理システムはWindows95/98に対応したFortran(デジタルビジュアルフォートラン)をベースに構築した図形サブルーチン・ライブラリである。図形サブルーチン・ライブラリは、基本的に汎用機の図形ライブラリのインタフェースを踏襲し、一部拡張を加えたものである。このシステムでは、図形データはポストスクリプト形式で出力する。画面表示やプリンタへの出力にはフリーソフトの日本語対応GSviewを用いている。本システムでは、従来形式のデータも図形メタファイルとして利用できる。
