| 内容記述 | The development of pull-apart basins is discussed based on results of field studies in active and ancient strike-slip zones. The plate tectonic setting of active pull-aparts is described and field observations from mainly active basins are synthesized into a qualitative model of the continuous growth of pull-aparts from nucleation to extreme development. This model is compared with predictions from previously proposed qualitative, theoretical, and experimental models. |
