| 内容記述 | A fast algorithm for implementation of the discrete cosine transform (DCT) to remote sensing image data compression is presented. Zonal and threshold sampling methods are evaluated. The DCT and the Fast Fourier Transform are compared. Quantitative and qualitative results are presented for evaluating the various alternatives for DCT application. Results show that a convenient choice is the threshold sampling method applied to transformed blocks of size ranging from 8 x 8 to 32 x 32. |
