閉鎖・隔離環境下における心理要素の研究 5:基地発行新聞による人間関係の分析

Abstract

Analysis of human relation and change of group structure under an extremely isolated and closed environment was carried out through the daily newspaper published in the wintering term of the 32nd Antarctic Observation team for one year from February 1, 1991. The number of times cited for each individual showed no significant difference in time or groups (observation or construction group), were considered to be deeply associated with individual activities, and had a high correlation with the result of the personal reaction measure which is one of sociometry tests conducted in Japan after the end of the wintering. Although the articles gives positive contents all the time, the analysis of articles on newspaper provides good information for a study of personal relations in the wintering team.

第32次南極地域観測隊において越冬期間中1991年2月1日から1年間、日刊で発行された新聞によって、閉鎖・隔離された環境下における人間関係や集団構造の変遷の分析を試みた。年間をとおして新聞に取り上げられた個人の回数は時期や班(観測班と設営班)には有意な差はなく、掲載回数の多少は個人の活動量に深く関係していると考えられ、越冬終了後に日本国内で行ったソシオメトリーテストの一種である対人反応尺度の結果と高い相関関係が認められた。記事はポジティブな内容に終始しているが、新聞の分析は越冬集団内部の人間関係を見る上で良い材料を提供しているといえる。
