Resonant characteristics have been obtained by surface SHG (Second Harmonic Generation) for Si(111)-7 x 7 at 1.3 and 1.65 eV fundamental photon energy and for '1 x 1' around 1.2 and 1.55 eV. As for Si(111)-7 x 7, the resonance at 1.3 eV is composed of at least two surface state transitions. The resonance of '1 x 1' at 1.55 eV is tentatively interpreted by the energy-shifted interband transition. |
