| 抄録 | A search for antihelium among cosmic rays has been performed using a Balloon-borne Superconducting magnetic rigidity Spectrometer (BESS). This report describes the result of the first cosmic-ray observation carried out in Canada in 1993. No antihelium was observed in a cosmic-ray measurement involving 2.1 x 10(exp 5) helium events at rigidities below 15 GV/c. An upper limit of 4.4 x 10(exp -5) in antihelium/He ratio was obtained at the 95 percent-confidence level at the top of the atmosphere.
宇宙線中の反ヘリウムの探索を気球搭載超伝導磁気スペクトロメータ(BESS)を用いて行った。ここでは1993年カナダにおいて実施した最初の宇宙線観測の結果を報告する。15GV/c以下の硬さでの2.1×10(exp 5)ヘリウム事象を含む宇宙線測定において反ヘリウムは観測されなかった。大気頂上における反ヘリウム/ヘリウム比の上限として4.4×10(exp -5)が信頼レベル95%で得られた。 |
