| 内容記述 | A program plan on a NASA-Lewis funded program is presented, in which effectiveness of thick ceramic coatings in preventing hot corrosion and in providing thermal insulation to gas turbine engine components are to be investigated. Preliminary analysis of the benefit of the thermal insulating effect of this coating on decreasing cooling air and simplifying component design appears very encouraging. The program is in the preliminary stages of obtaining starting materials and establishing procedures. Numerous graphs, tables and photographs are included. |
