| 抄録 | A theoretical method for estimating the Error Correcting Capability (ECC) of difference-set cyclic codes is discussed, and numerical ECC estimates derived by the method are compared with the results of conventional computer simulation. The proposed method can be applied efficiently to the testing of error correcting chips and also to the design of their built-in self-testing circuits. The results can further be used to estimate the performance of other very long codes, to which little attention has been paid so far.
差集合巡回符号の誤り訂正能力(ECC)の理論的推定方法を論じ、この方法で導出したECCの数値推定値を、従来の計算機シミュレーションの結果と比較した。提案した方法は誤り訂正チップの試験に効果的に適用でき、このチップのビルトイン自己試験回路の設計にも適用できる。さらに、その結果を用いて、今までほとんど注意を払わなかった他の非常に長い符号の性能を推定できる。 |
