内容記述Simultaneous measurements of ambient O2 and N2 concentrations and temperature were made near winter solstice 1975 by the open source neutral mass spectrometer on Atmosphere Explorer-D. The data, taken at midmorning and all latitudes, are analyzed using scatter plots and correlation coefficients. Results indicate that O2 concentrations at about 200 km is controlled both by temperature variations and wind-induced diffusion. Since the winds are most effective in controlling O2 at lower altitudes, it is reasonable to expect that temperature effects will dominate over wind effects at higher altitudes.
