抄録 | An adaptive transmission rate SCPC/TDM satellite communication terminal was developed for asynchronous date links such as server & client system, of that WWW server and browser are typical. This SCPC/TDM system uses Single Channel Per Carrier (SCPC) for inbound (from client to server) and Time Division Multiplexing (TDM) for outbound (from server to client). The data rate of SCPC is selected from 24 kbps and 64 kbps and the rate of TDM is selected from 1544/Mkbps (M = 1, 2, 4, 8, 16) corresponding to required link quality and data rate. The transmission rate of TDM can be changed by changing the TDM data burst length. In this paper, the specifications of SCPC/TDM system and the results of indoor experiment are described. |
