| 抄録 | The SciBar, which is a new near detector in K2K experiment, has been designed to study neutrino interaction below 1 GeV region. Newly developed electronics for readout and control of this detector is described in this paper. SciBar consists of 14,336 scintillator strips which are readout by wavelength shifting fibers (WLS) and 64-ch multi-anode photomultipliers (MA-PMT). A special electronics for the readout of the SciBar detector aims the amplification and multiplexing of analog signals from MA-PMTs primarily. To this end, front-end electronics has been developed with VA/TA ASIC (FEB), which enables serial readout of 32-ch analog input and make a 32-ch-OR'ed fast trigger, and back-end VME board (DAQB) as a control module of VA/TA readout and data acquisition. In total, 224 front-end boards and 28 back-end VME boards have been installed to readout 14,336 strips since October 2003. |
