内容記述 | The marker-and-cell method has been extended to simulate the flow and velocity fields of a moving liquid in an axisymmetric container. Dynamic loads induced by the moving liquid are calculated from the pressure distribution along the container wall as functions of time. Using viscosity and equivalent gravitational acceleration as parameters, several cases of the transient flow of a liquid in a container are studied. Subsequently, a three-dimensional marker-and-cell formulation is obtained and a numerical scheme to implement the formulation is developed. The resulting computer program is used to simulate the three-dimensional flow of a liquid in a rectangular container. The study shows that dynamic loads induced by a moving liquid can be computed numerically. |
