抄録 | Shadowing effects in land-mobile satellite channels due to roadside telegraph poles and electric wires were measured in Ka band (21 GHz) and millimeter wave (44 GHz) using the COMETS satellite. Non modulated signals transmitted from COMETS were received by a slotted waveguide array antenna and an active phased array antenna, which were mounted on the roof of the COMETS test vehicle. Deeper signal fades in Ka band and millimeter wave were observed than those in L band and S band, which are currently used in mobile satellite communication services. |
