黒点・白斑スケッチの自動化システム

Abstract

国立天文台におけるデジタル太陽全面像のデータ収集・処理システムについて述べた。このシステムは太陽黒点および白斑の自動検出とデータ処理を目的とし、天文台において1930年代以降続いている通常の手動観測に代わることになるものである。光学系はNDフィルタ/光散乱板交換装置、10cm口径の2重レンズ系(F8)、倍率2倍の画像拡大系、グリーンフィルタ、および画素2K×2KのCCDカメラからなっている。太陽の全面デジタル画像を取得し、太陽黒点および白斑の自動描写を提供するために毎日画像処理を行っている。位置、面積、および暗さについての太陽黒点の数とパラメータも得られる。画像用データ処理技術について概要を述べ、その中には周縁フィッティング法、周縁減光除去による太陽コントラスト画像の作成、および太陽黒点と白斑の検出を含んでいる。

An acquisition and data processing system of full-disk digital solar images at the National Astronomical Observatory is described. The system aims at an automated detection and data reduction of sunspots and faculae, and will replace the conventional hand drawing observation being continued since 1930's at the observatory. The optical system consists of a ND (Neutral Density) filter/diffuser switching unit, a 10 cm doublet (F/8), an image expander of magnification x 2, a green filter, and a CCD camera of 2 K x 2 K pixels. Full-disk digital images of the sun are taken and processed daily to provide automatic drawings of sunspots and faculae. The number and parameters of sunspots such as the position, area, and darkness are also derived. Data processing techniques used for the images are briefly described, which include the method of limb fitting, the production of solar contrast map by limb-darkening removal, and the detection of sunspots and faculae.
