抄録 | The neostriatum is an input structure in the basal ganglia, large subcortical nuclei in the brain, and has long been implicated in motor planning and motor learning. It has been demonstrated that the tonically active neurons in the striatum are presumably cholinergic giant aspiny interneurons and acquire conditioned sensory responses during conditioning. This acquisition of the response requires dopaminergic input from the substantia nigra. The neurons were found mainly in the matrix of the striatum, especially in the border regions of the striosmes, suggesting a role on sensory-motor integration during motor learning. |
