Report of the Kakioka Magnetic Observatory. Geomagnetism and Geoelectricity : Kakioka-Memambetsu-Kanoya-Chichijima 1997: No.172

Abstract

This is an annual report, which presents the results of the geoelectric observations carried out at the Kakioka Magnetic Observatory and its two branches at Memanbetsu and Kanoya. The Kakioka Magnetic Observatory, the national standard magnetic observatory of Japan, is an organization administered by the Japan Meteorological Agency. In this report, detailed observation data from January to December in 1997 were tabulated. Hourly values of atmospheric electric potential gradient at Kakioka are tabulated on a daily basis, together with its mean diurnal variations on quiet days of each month and season. Hourly values, expressed in the deviations from the daily mean, of earth current potential gradient EW (East-West) and SN (South-North) components at Kakioka are tabulated on a daily basis, together with its mean diurnal variations on all, quiet and disturbed days of each month and season. Summary results of geoelectric observations at Memanbetsu and Kanoya are reported as follows. Mean diurnal variations of atmospheric electric potential gradient on quiet days at Memanbetsu are tabulated on a monthly and seasonal basis. Mean diurnal variations of EW and NS components of earth current potential gradient at Memanbetsu and Kanoya are tabulated on a monthly and seasonal basis by classifying all, quiet and disturbed days. The publications and computer readable data for geomagnetism and geoelectric observations over the past years are also listed.

本報は、柿岡地磁気観測所および女満別と鹿屋にあるその支所で行われた、地球電気観測の結果をまとめた年次報告書である。柿岡地磁気観測所は、日本の国立標準観測局で、気象庁管轄下にあって地磁気観測を続けている。本報告では、1997年1月から12月までの詳細な観測データを表示している。柿岡における大気電気ポテンシャル勾配の日毎の時間値を、月毎、季節毎の静穏日における平均日変化と共に表示した。また、柿岡における各日についての地電流ポテンシャル勾配のEW(東西)成分とNS(南北)成分の日平均からの偏差で示した時間値を、月毎および季節毎の全日、静穏日、擾乱日における平均日変化と共に表示した。女満別と鹿屋の観測所における地球電気観測の総括的結果を以下のように報告した。女満別における静穏日について大気電気ポテンシャル勾配の月毎および季節毎の平均日変化を表示し、女満別と鹿屋における地電流ポテンシャル勾配のEWとSN成分の月毎および季節毎の平均日変化を全日、静穏日、擾乱日に分けて表示した。また、地磁気および地球電気に関する過去に遡る観測データについての一覧表を示した。
