| 内容記述 | From new near-infrared photometry and optical and near-infrared polarimetry, we determine the ratio of total-to-selective extinction and the wavelength of maximum polarization for a sample of stars behind molecular clouds at high Galactic latitude. In general, we find that at high latitude, these parameters have values comparable to those observed closer to the Galactic plane. One notable exception is the line of sight towards HD 210121, where unusually small values of these parameters suggest an abundance of small grains in the foreground cloud. |
