内容記述 | This workshop is one that will bring together a number of international agencies. International discussions with the European Space Agency (ESA), French Air Force ONERA Provence Research Center, the Defense Advanced Research Project Agency (DARPA), and LORIA will provide opportunities for NASA Ames to share research that develops technologies that allow humans to travel safely and productively in the aerospace environment, thereby working to reduce the risk profiles of both the Aviation and Space Human Factors Engineering (SHFE) portfolios managed out of NASA Ames. Specifically, our intent is to leverage off LORIAs collaboration with the ESA, ONERA, and the French DARPA which seek to identify and reduce the risk profile associated with cognitive performance (hypothetico-deductive capabilities of human in flight operations and how to measure an operators ability to reason), examine discuss directions for training human systems integration, the cognitive capabilities of individual operators, and the team cognitive performance, to augment its HCI portfolio through human computer interaction with LORIAs researchers thereby reducing the risk profile of the risk of inadequate HCI, to augment robotic operations (UAV) research with ONERA thereby reducing the risk of inadequate design of human and automation robotic integration (HARI), and to increase educational opportunities through LORIA and the Professors Didier Fass and Dominique Mery. It is expected that this series of discussions will involve ONERA (Laurent Chaudron; French Air Force), the French DARPA (Didier Bassaget), and the European Space Agency (Laura Andre-Boyet) as they have been involved in the discussions and have expressed interest in the collaboration (through a number of discussions and emails) |
