抄録 | A mathematical model for generating annoying or chilling sounds is presented. Such sounds are generated by frictional motion and are generally considered to have chaotic properties. The proposed model is based on the logistic map and is modified to have the stick-slip property of a frictional vibration. A joystick is used to control the gain parameter, which determines the chaotic behavior of the logistic map, and the velocity parameter, which determines the time interval of transition. The obtained sound is similar to that generated by scratching a chalkboard or glass plate with fingernails. |
